Therapy with room to be yourself.
My name is Ted Boozalis, LCSW. I offer individual therapy for adults. My aim is to create a welcoming space where you can talk openly about what’s weighing on you. You don’t need the right words or a clear plan to get started. I’ll meet you with warmth and curiosity, and together we’ll find a way forward that feels right for you.
I offer in-person sessions in Houston and telehealth throughout Texas.

My Approach to Therapy
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come in. You may know exactly what you want help with, or you may simply know that something feels difficult and you’re ready for support. Either is a place to begin. I’ll take time to understand what’s bringing you to therapy, what matters to you, and what you hope might change.
I see therapy as a conversation and a collaborative process. I’ll work with you to explore the experiences and patterns that affect your life, while helping you find practical steps you can use outside your sessions. Some days, that may mean working on ways to manage difficult emotions or navigate a specific situation. Other days, it may mean slowing down and understanding something you’ve carried for a long time.
I tailor my approach to your needs, goals, and pace. There’s room to ask questions, say when something doesn’t fit, and talk honestly about what is helping. I’ll check in with you along the way and adjust my approach as I learn more about what works for you. My aim is to offer a space where you feel heard and respected, and where difficult things can be met with compassion and curiosity.
I welcome LGBTQ+ adults and offer an affirming, inclusive space that respects your identity, relationships, and lived experience. People of all backgrounds are welcome here.
I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a specialized form of therapy for trauma and distressing experiences. EMDR uses a structured process, including guided eye movements or other alternating stimulation, to help reduce the distress associated with difficult memories. If it seems appropriate for your needs, I’ll explain what it involves and help you decide whether you’d like to include it in your therapy.
